Almost simultaneously with settling in
Jamestown the new Virginians were intrigued by the winemaking
process. Attempting to duplicate what had been taken for granted
across the Atlantic Ocean proved more difficult than the settlers
had imagined. Evidence of their
efforts were discovered in 2004 when archaeologists at Jamestown
revealed the oldest wine cellar known in our nation, housing
ten 400-year old wine bottles. [

first Friday of each month through October (except July), join
us on Main Street from 6-9pm for fun for the entire family!
Main Street will be closed to traffic from Court Street to
Fifth Street
while we dance in the street to local bands and children are
turned loose with sidewalk chalk and dance in the bubble machines! [

The Fauquier Health System
Fauquier Hospital campus will go tobacco free
On July 4, Fauquier Health System
will take an important step toward clearing the air. The health
system’s Warrenton campus -- which includes Fauquier Hospital,
Warrenton Overlook Health and Rehabilitation Center, the Medical
Office Building on Hospital Hill, the doctors’ offices behind
the hospital and the surrounding grounds -- will be a tobaccofree
zone beginning on Independence Day. [
